About

Having trained in both early years and Montessori settings, where I’ve learnt so much about how children learn through play and exploration. Messy play has become my passion as it offers children endless possibilities. Not only does it enhance cognitive development and learning but also improves physical development in fine and gross motor skills to enhance children’s muscle development. There’s so many other benefits of messy play including hand eye coordination, spatial awareness, tactile and sensory experiences. In addition it also inspires curiosity in children and enhances their language and creativity. Messy play allows children to explore an array of tools and resources. One of the main reasons I live messy play is that there is no expectation to produce a finished piece. Children can just explore through new textures and manipulate different materials through touch. This will help them grow in confidence and most importantly have fun. My classes will be free flow and relaxed with different levels of messiness as some children may need to take it slowly and some will dive in head first literally! The sessions will be planned with all areas of learning and development in mind. I could go on and on about the foundations messy play lays for life and education but I won’t. Instead come along and join me for the full messy play experience and the best bit is I do the cleaning up 😊
