What Mini Explorers Cumbria says

Mini Explorers offers an engaging play experience for babies and toddlers, drawing inspiration from the educational philosophies of Reggio Emilia and Montessori. Our emphasis is on utilising open-ended materials to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and encourage discovery. Our hour sessions will begin with a short welcome, followed by time to explore all of the activities. At the end we will come together for some singing and stories.

Each week there will be:
- Art explorations
- Loose part play and open ended resources
- Messy and sensory play
- Light, dark and shadow explorations
- Circle time with stories and singing
- Opportunities to make new friends and learn about open ended play and how it is beneficial to children’s development.

Tea and coffee will be available but please bring a safe mug with a lid.

About

I'm Emily and I've had the privilege of working with children for over 20 years spanning across bustling cities like London and Manchester further afield in Europe and Vietnam and now Cumbria! During my time I have found a passion for the Reggio Emilia approach and child led learning.

Now, as a proud parent myself to a beautiful daughter living in Cumbria I've embarked on a new adventure that's near and dear to my heart.

Inspired by the principles of Reggio Emilia and Montessori, I've created a nurturing space for young minds to flourish. It's a space where natural and open ended play resources take center stage, sparking curiosity, creativity, and a profound love for learning.
