About me
Hello, I'm Rachel, a local mum and certified infant massage instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM). I first discovered baby massage when I joined a group course when my daughter was a few months old, I loved the special 1:1 time with her that baby massage provided and how it helped us bond, and I really enjoyed all aspects of attending classes in those early weeks. After several years of thinking about it, in 2021 I took the step of training as an instructor with the IAIM and now have a wonderful time delivering courses to lovely parents and babies in and around Lewisham.

Workshop details:
This is a relaxed 2-hour workshop that is ideal for babies up til approx 6 months.
The class starts with learning the basic principles of baby massage, followed by a relaxation for parents and learning massage strokes. The wellbeing of both babies and parents is vital and I aim to make this a safe space if you want to talk about how you are feeling. At the end of the session there is time to enjoy refreshments and chat with other parents.

You will be the only person massaging your baby and massage is always centred around baby's needs - if your baby needs to feed, sleep, be held, cry, this is welcomed at all times. You are the expert in your baby and my classes are a no-judgement zone, you are welcome to participate as much or as little as you want to.
