What The Together Project says

The Together Project runs intergenerational events which help reduce loneliness, improve wellbeing, tackle ageism and help integrate local communities. One of our activities is a music group aimed at 0-4 year olds, their grown-ups and older people, held online and beamed into the communal rooms of care homes and sheltered housing schemes. We sing, move, play, make friends and have lots of fun! MISSION The Together Project’s mission is to reduce loneliness, improve wellbeing, tackle ageism and help integrate local communities. The current restrictions in place due to Covid-19, have only heightened these issues for many. IN-PERSON SESSIONS Before Covid-19 these sessions were held in-person within care homes, where some lovely friendships blossomed. Sadly we are still unable to go into care homes, but the residents are missing us very much. So we have decided to go virtual! WHAT TO EXPECT From songs and instruments to scarves and bubbles, our sessions are designed to bring a smile to everyone's faces. The 60 minute sessions will enable you to see some familiar faces (if you've joined Songs & Smiles before) and make some new friends, while singing some of our favourite songs.
