THE WONDER GARDEN YOGA

A creative yoga and mindfulness-based program for children

What The Wonder Garden Yoga says

At The Wonder Garden, children practice age-appropriate story themed poses, asanas and meditations with Anne Marie. Anne Marie is an art teacher with over ten years of experience in UK and international school settings. She then trained as a children's yoga and mindfulness teacher in 2018 and has been in love with combining these passions since. It motivated her to design her own creative story telling inspired yoga and mindfulness-based program for babies, children, teens, families and schools.

About

I first became attracted to yoga due to it’s health benefits, and it’s ability to connect the mind, body and spirit. With a busy life as a teacher, it became necessary to find ways to stay grounded, maintain health and to focus my energies. My inspiration for this came from my time working as a teacher in different school settings for over 10 years. During that period, I noticed how little time in the academic day, if any, was dedicated to wellness practises for children and staff. After teaching in Ireland and the UK for a few years, I moved to Thailand where I worked as a lead teacher in an International Kindergarten. While there, I had a great opportunity to train as a children’s yoga teacher and fell in love with combining both my passions in wellness and education since.

I hold QTS in Ireland and the UK, 200hour vinyasa yoga teacher training, Enhanced DBS check, first aid for children trained and fully insured. You can read more about my ethos, classes and qualifications at www.thewondergarden.co.uk.
