TINY TWEETIES CENTRAL DURHAM AND HOUGHTON

Bringing learning to life through music for children, teachers and parents

What Tiny Tweeties says

We work with parents, teachers and children to bring learning to life through music. Created by an experienced primary & special needs teacher and a skilled musician, Tiny Tweeties provides a huge library of specially crafted music for use in EYFS and early years education at home. We also provide live music / singing groups for young children; toddlers and babies, giving them the best start and providing experiences where you will enjoy a learning, musical adventure together, delivered by fully trained, official Tiny Tweeties class leaders. Sessions are currently running in the North East: Sunderland, and Washington Tyne and Wear. Music is an incredible tool for learning in the early years foundation stage. Our interactive sessions are designed to enhance the development of essential early learning skills, through engaging and uplifting songs. Children will learn and grow whilst singing and dancing, laying the foundations to a lifetime of education.

About

I have been a primary school teacher for 17 years and have always loved seeing children flourish and grow. It is a privilege to play a part in a child’s development!

I have always believed that children learn in a wide range of ways, and that music can greatly enhance learning.

Music has always played a huge part in my life, but joining a ladies choir, in 2009, really helped me to develop my confidence and love of singing.

On becoming a mam in 2012, it was natural that music was going to be important in the learning journey of my daughter. Tiny Tweeties was the obvious choice and, from my first session, I knew it was perfect for us. Within the happy, nurturing and fun sessions, parents and grandparents were creating special bonds with their children while important social networks between parents were developing. Tiny Tweeties soon became an important part of our routine.

I believe that music unlocks a child’s path for learning that nothing else might, supporting early language development, gross and fine motor skills and emotional well-being.

Tiny Tweeties has given me the opportunity to merge my love of music with my love of working with children. I love creating strong bonds with children and their families to build positive learning experiences that are rooted in the joy of music.
