About

Hi, I’m Kath. I live in Belper and I teach my TinyTalk classes in Belper and Matlock. After having my second baby, I decided to leave my job in retail marketing and start a new career teaching TinyTalk classes, which would allow me to have lots of fun while connecting with my local communities. I also volunteer with the Breastfeeding Network, and am passionate to help new mums whatever their feeding journey.

I first discovered the wonders of baby signing when my son, Leo, was five months old and we went along to our first TinyTalk class. He absolutely loved it, and he was soon signing ‘milk’, ‘home’ and ‘biscuit’. I loved that I could understand what he wanted before he could use words. I could even offer him a drink or ask him to sit down using signing. He’s now three years old and we have always signed together, using songs and books, or picking out parts of our conversations to practice signs. His favourites are animals and family signs, and he even helps to teach his baby sister, Edie!
